October update

Hello fellow students, here's your monthly update on all things Britannica!

We've kicked off the academic year by participating in three (!) different freshman orientations (gulnäbbsintagningar): with Nyländska Nationen, Humanistiska Föreningen, and Österbottniska Nationen. Great fun all around.

On Tuesday the 25th Tommi Salminen and Britannica organized a hugely successful movie night in Armfelt. We watched the Oscar-winning Moonlight.

We will be hosting another movie night on 9 October, in about two weeks time. We haven't come to a conclusion on which movie to watch yet, so it's up to you Britannicans to VOTE on your title of choice in our facebook poll (https://www.facebook.com/events/293091864612789/).

Our last sponsorship beneficiary Asher Kipkoech was unfortunately lost due to a slight misunderstanding regarding the payment of World Vision's invoices.

However, we have a new child to sponsor as of last month: 10 year old Phat from Cambodia.

As a last reminder: Today is the date of Britannica's annual Scavenger Hunt!

We'll be meeting by the Cathedral at 4 p.m.
